Stage Fright

I don't know what it is about my English classes, but they freak me out!! I get so scared that my teachers are going to call on me and I'm not going to know the answer and make a fool out of myself. Why the heck or you going into teaching if this is the case you might ask? Well... this usually isn't the case. I'm usually okay with talking in front of people, but these English classes make my armpits sweat and my heart beat like a drum. There are just so many intellectuals in there. I'm getting into the upper division classes where we analyze and delve deep into class discussions. And there's me sitting in the corner hiding. I just read the story for the story. I have a hard time getting into the Nitty-gritty and the deeper meaning of things. I had a total freak-out session this morning as I was getting ready to go to one of my classes and even shed a few tears, but Cole was very sweet and gave me a pep-talkin'. "I am smart, I am confident, What I have to say matters" I kept telling myself. Ha. Here is my BFL schedule for the day:

MEAL ONE - 9:00 am
Chunky Monkey Protein Shake - 1/2 banana, 1 TB of PB, Chocolate protein powder, ice, and water. Note: I've been trying to have my shakes with water instead of milk cuz I think it cuts down on the calories - about 150 a day. And they're just as tasty.

MEAL TWO - 12:00 pm
Chicken Taco Leftovers - WW Tortilla, taco seasoned chicken, black beans, green peppers, onions, FF sour cream, salsa. mmm.

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Can you guess? Garbanzo Beans, cottage cheese, and ranch dressing mix. I was still a little hungry so I chowed down 2 caramel rice cakes.

HIIT - 5:30 pm
ahhh felt good. Although I did have a major side ache the whole stinkin time! But there really is nothing better than going for a run when it starts to become fall. The air is so crisp and the sun feels good on your skin. ahhhh. I ran at a pretty good pace. I think the best so far since I started BFL.
Stats:
2.09 miles
254 calories
9:36 pace
7:12 best pace

MEAL FOUR - 6:45 pm
Light Buffalo Chicken Pita from Pita Pit. I love Pita Pit. I can always count on them to give me a delicious and nutritious meal. There theme is "Fresh Thinking, Healthy Eating" and its true. They are very fresh. Cole thinks its weird that if i have a choice of places to eat that I choose there. That's what we had for my b-day meal last year.
Slice of Life (that's what I'm going to start calling these little inserts)- I had my first Primary Presidency meeting tonight and I'm really excited. I love the ladies that I will be serving with. They just crack me up. I will be thrown in there full force on Sunday. They will both be gone so I will be conducting, keeping the kids rounded up, and doing sharing time. Please pray for me. eek!

MEAL FIVE - 10:oo pm
Strawberry Chocolate Protein Shake

I pray that I will soon get over my case of stage fright, cuz I don't want my whole semester to be filled with anxiety with every class that I attend. Well, you know what I gotta do... you guessed it...more reading. In the words of the von Trapp family -SO LONG FAREWELL, ALF VEDERSEIN (sp?), GOODNIGHT!

  2. I know what you mean with those intimitdating classes. I was always the quiet one who was scared to death to say anything. That was a good pep talk from Cole. It's all about self talk. Just keep telling yourself that you're just as smart(probably a heck of a lot smarter actually)as anyone else there. And also, they may be interpret the meaning behind some crazy Hawthorne novel, but can they throw down on the bball court like you do? I don't think so.
    Keep up the good work.
ps Cade knocked out his front tooth and we got an offer on our house today! Call if you want details. How's that for an incentive?
