Ugh...

Ahh! Totally gross story. We had all these yummy chicken dishes planned for this week. Yeah...probably not gonna happen for a while. We bought some chicken wings at the store to make these yummy hot wings, but we got them out to defrost and we found some chicken feathers still stuck to some of them. ohh egh ugh! I am gagging right now as I type. Needless to say, we won't be eating chicken for a while. So we went with the plan b meal which was the only meal planned for the week that did not include chicken -- tuna casserole. ha. Here was today.

MEAL ONE - 9:30 am
Pina Colada Protein Shake - mmm I can feel that warm island breeze:)
MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Chicken Salad Sandwich - canned chicken, light mayo, dijon mustard, chopped onion, and slivered almonds on 1pc of WW bread. Very good. This was also before chicken was triggering my gag reflexes. I added some carrots for some veggies. I also washed it down with a little Airborne. The Swine Flu is seriously going around I.S.U and I DO NOT want to get it so I'm taking those extra precautions.

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Chicken Salad Sandwich on 1 pc of bread and one banana. I guess deep down I knew that I had to get a lot of chicken in before "the incident".

HIIT - 6:15 pm
Today was best average pace in the history of my Body-for-life challenge #3! I'm feeling great. I feel like I'm getting the runner's high cuz it feels so dang good. I could probably push myself harder.

Stats:
20 minutes
2.07 miles
247 calories
6:59 best pace
9:31 average pace <-------

MEAL FOUR - 7:00 pm
Tuna Casserole prepared by my loving husband while I went running. Rotini noodles, tuna fish, cream of mushroom soup, and frozen peas. This was actually very tasty and we have a ton left over for lunch tomorrow. I love left-overs.

MEAL FIVE - 9:00 pm
Key Lime Pie Protein Shake - 3 TB of Limeade concentrate, vanilla protein powder, water, ice. This was definitely legit. Tasted just like Key lime pie.

Cole and I recorded all of The Office episodes on our TV. Oh gees are they hilarious! We sat and watched like 5 episodes tonight and they had us rolling. Now we have to figure out what to do with all of the chicken we bought. I'm sure we'll get over it eventually. I'm going to pick up some hamburger tomorrow :) NIGHT!

Dog Attack

Did I get your attention? I didn't really get attacked by a dog, but I sure thought I was going to get attacked when I did my HIIT on Saturday. I was running past some houses and a big old golden retriever came at me with its teeth showing and everything. I stopped, closed my eyes, and braced myself for a big bight out of my thigh, but he just wanted to play I guess. He kept charging me and it scared me so bad! It makes me so mad that people just let their dogs roam free. And sometimes they think its funny when their dogs go over and jump on people. ehhh! Free Day was nice on Saturday. Free days are nice not only because I get to eat what I want, but because I don't have to worry about eating something every 2 to 3 hours. I made some delicious Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. MMM. I love cookies. I think that they are my fave. Well, today was the day of unleavened bread...pita bread that is and you will soon find out why:)

MEAL ONE - 9:15 am
Chocolate Protein Smoothie and 1 pc. WW toast

MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Pita Sandwich - pita bread, turkey, onions, lettuce, honey mustard. Really good. I love honey mustard.

MEAL THREE - 3:00 pm
Green apple and two string cheeses. We need to go shopping so badly! We looked at a lot of meals in my Eating for Life book and we have some good meals planned out for this week like the enchiladas below. Don't those looks good? Now we just need to go shopping.

MEAL FOUR - 6:40 pm
Two Caramel Rice Cakes - just trying to satisfy my hunger until we ate dinner

MEAL FIVE - 7:15 pm
Pita Pit. Yummo! I got the Chicken Craver. I just love pita pit. Like I said -- day of the unleavened bread. Pita for lunch and for dinner.

UBWO - 8:30 pm
Done at home.

Push-ups 12, 10, 8, 6, 12

DB Back flies 12, 10, 8, 6, 12

MEAL SIX - 10:00 pm
Pina Colada Protein Smoothie - Ice, water, pineapple, coconut extract, and vanilla protein powder. This was divine! It took me to a tropical place like a tiki hut on some exotic island. oo la la.
It was just another manic Monday...I wish it were Sunday - My I don't have to run day. Its getting late! I guess the Swine Flu is going around ISU so Cole and I decided we are going to take extra precautions NOT to pick it up. Like wash are hands frequently and long. Drink lots of water. And get lots of sleep. I better do the latter so NIGHTY NIGHT!

Rexburg

Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit some friends up in Rexburg. I had never been there before and we had a blast. The town is small, but just hangin' out with friends was really fun. BFL went well yesterday even though we were traveling here and there and everywhere.

Slice of Life - We headed up to Rexburg around 1:00pm. Cole had to go do some stuff with his friend Tyler so I went and hung out with my good friend Ambie. It was good to see her and just chat for a few hours. Her roommates were crackin' me up.

Me and Ambie
MEAL THREE - 3:30 pm
Apple and Nuts (I had this in my purse and just ate it at Ambie's. I had to bring something that was accessible and didn't need to be refrigerated. Even though I didn't get enough protein I figured it was better than nothing.)

Slice of Life - Then Cole came and picked me up and we went and hung out with his friend Tyler and his wife who is prego and so cute. They kept telling us all these birth stories and technique (breathing and relaxing techniques) and I think Cole was getting a little freaked out it was hilarious. We then went to Gandolfy's... I think that it what it's called. It wasn't very good. I think it made me sick.

MEAL FOUR - 7:00 pm
Gandolfy's Godfather sandwich - Chicken and marinara sauce. They only had white bread rolls for their bread. You win some, you lose some I guess.

MEAL FIVE - 10:00pm
I felt starving!! I had a Strawberry Shortcake Protein Smoothie and two rice cakes.

Cole and I were pretty pooped. We sat down to watch a little boob tube and before we knew it, we were snoring away.... well I dunno if I was snoring, but Cole was. ha. My bed felt so good. The sheets were so soft and the down comforter snuggled around me like a teddy bear. ahhh. TODAY IS FREE DAY! But before I eat what I want, I am going to go for a little run. HAVE A HAPPY SATURDAY!!

Craver

I have done very well on BFL this week considering the fact that I have been craving some sweets like nobody's business! I have one more day of clean eating and then I have my much needed FREE DAY. Can't wait. I can't put my finger on what I want to eat. Something sweet that is for sure. I think I'm definitely gonna have to go for my favorite movie treat -- Popcorn and hot tamales. That combo is just mmm mmm good. A little salty and a little sweet.

THURSDAY HAPPENED LIKE THIS:
MEAL ONE - 9:00 am
Horchatta Protein Shake - Ice, water, vanilla protein powder, and cinnamon.

MEAL TWO - 12:30 pm
Great Harvest Turkey Sandwich. I was so hungry that I scarfed down almost the whole thing before we could get home for me to take a pic. So this is all you get to see of my moist, satisfying, delectable sandwich.

This picture is really pathetic...I know. It doesn't do the sandwich justice.
MEAL THREE - 3:30 pm
Garbanzo Beans, cottage cheese, and ranch dressing mix. Ha. My friend could not believe that this could possibly be a good combo when she looked at my blog today. But I'm tellin' ya, its the only way I can stomach cottage cheese. I hate cottage cheese, but in this it's tasty. You should try it!

MEAL FOUR - 5:15 pm
One Caramel Rice Cake with PB on it. I was so hungry for some reason, but I didn't want to eat too much cuz I was going to play b-ball and then on a run. So I just grabbed this for a quick fix.

HIIT - 6:45 pm
Stats:
2.21 miles
268 calories
9:36 average pace
5:54 best pace <----- whoo hoo! I maintained this for a whole minute.

Here I am all sweaty again. It feels so good!
MEAL FIVE -7:30 pm
1/2 Baked potato with cottage cheese and salsa.
Small salad with onions, green peppers, and honey mustard dressing.

MEAL SIX - 10:15 pm
Strawberry Chocolate Protein Shake

Bring on the weekend baby! I'm ready for ya! Be healthy, it feels great! Goodnight to all ya'll!

Cross Another Off the List

Oh Gees! As I type the smell of freshly popped popcorn is leaking into my nose. Why do you have to tempt me so Cole? I can almost taste it the smell is so strong. I am quite excited right now because I just finished a paper that is due tommorrow! I love crossing things of my list. American Lit Paper: CHECK. I'm the type of person who writes a list of things to do at the beginning of the week and then has great joy when I take my pen and slash it off the list. That was the second to last thing on my list. Next item of business: Sharing time. Body for Life went well today. I had a little mishap on my UBWO, but I didn't let it get to me. Here's how it rolled out:

ATTEMPTED UBWO - 8:45 am
I went to the gym to workout, but apparently there was a class in there at the moment so the teacher kicked me out. He was actually really rude about it. I wished I could've told him he was fat. ha. That's rude of me. I just find it ironic that a teacher that teaches a weight class is fat. Seems really hypocritical to me. Same reason why they say "never trust a skinny chef"'. They should be fat because they eat all their tasty food. ANyways I'm rambling so let us move on shall we.

MEAL ONE - 9:15 am
Peanut Butter Crave Protein Shake - Ice, water, 1 TB of PB, and vanilla protein powder.

MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Turkey Roll-up - WW Tortilla, Deli Turkey, mustard, green peppers, onions. mmm
1/2 of green apple

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Strawberry Banana Light Yogurt, string cheese, mixed nuts

UBWO - 4:45 pm (this time a success)
Bench Press 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Pushups 12

DB Flies 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
DB Rows 12

Shoulder Raises 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Shoulder Press 12

DB Tricep Extensions 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Tricep Dips 12

Bicep Curls 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Preacher Curls 12

MEAL FOUR - 6:00 pm
2 Caramel Rice Cakes (I was hungry and dinner was coming soon)

MEAL FIVE - 7:00 pm
Baked Potato with Chili and FF sour cream. I wanted to put cottage cheese on it instead of sourcream, but we were all out. But the chili had 20 grams of protein in one serving! So I figured I was getting enough protein.

MEAL SIX - 9:00 pm
Peach-Strawberry Wonder Protein Shake (you like these cheesy names?)

Slice of Life - We saw Tod Blackington just a few minutes ago at Win-co. He is a local Celebrity. Local news channel 6, Anchor man. Ha.

I'm glad that my mouth has stopped salivating and that popcorn scent is slowly starting to go away. I am so ready for my nice cozy bed. NIGHT!

Stage Fright

I don't know what it is about my English classes, but they freak me out!! I get so scared that my teachers are going to call on me and I'm not going to know the answer and make a fool out of myself. Why the heck or you going into teaching if this is the case you might ask? Well... this usually isn't the case. I'm usually okay with talking in front of people, but these English classes make my armpits sweat and my heart beat like a drum. There are just so many intellectuals in there. I'm getting into the upper division classes where we analyze and delve deep into class discussions. And there's me sitting in the corner hiding. I just read the story for the story. I have a hard time getting into the Nitty-gritty and the deeper meaning of things. I had a total freak-out session this morning as I was getting ready to go to one of my classes and even shed a few tears, but Cole was very sweet and gave me a pep-talkin'. "I am smart, I am confident, What I have to say matters" I kept telling myself. Ha. Here is my BFL schedule for the day:

MEAL ONE - 9:00 am
Chunky Monkey Protein Shake - 1/2 banana, 1 TB of PB, Chocolate protein powder, ice, and water. Note: I've been trying to have my shakes with water instead of milk cuz I think it cuts down on the calories - about 150 a day. And they're just as tasty.

MEAL TWO - 12:00 pm
Chicken Taco Leftovers - WW Tortilla, taco seasoned chicken, black beans, green peppers, onions, FF sour cream, salsa. mmm.

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Can you guess? Garbanzo Beans, cottage cheese, and ranch dressing mix. I was still a little hungry so I chowed down 2 caramel rice cakes.

HIIT - 5:30 pm
ahhh felt good. Although I did have a major side ache the whole stinkin time! But there really is nothing better than going for a run when it starts to become fall. The air is so crisp and the sun feels good on your skin. ahhhh. I ran at a pretty good pace. I think the best so far since I started BFL.
Stats:
2.09 miles
254 calories
9:36 pace
7:12 best pace

MEAL FOUR - 6:45 pm
Light Buffalo Chicken Pita from Pita Pit. I love Pita Pit. I can always count on them to give me a delicious and nutritious meal. There theme is "Fresh Thinking, Healthy Eating" and its true. They are very fresh. Cole thinks its weird that if i have a choice of places to eat that I choose there. That's what we had for my b-day meal last year.
Slice of Life (that's what I'm going to start calling these little inserts)- I had my first Primary Presidency meeting tonight and I'm really excited. I love the ladies that I will be serving with. They just crack me up. I will be thrown in there full force on Sunday. They will both be gone so I will be conducting, keeping the kids rounded up, and doing sharing time. Please pray for me. eek!

MEAL FIVE - 10:oo pm
Strawberry Chocolate Protein Shake

I pray that I will soon get over my case of stage fright, cuz I don't want my whole semester to be filled with anxiety with every class that I attend. Well, you know what I gotta do... you guessed it...more reading. In the words of the von Trapp family -SO LONG FAREWELL, ALF VEDERSEIN (sp?), GOODNIGHT!

Fried Brain

My brain feels fried. Oh no! This usually doesn't happen until the end of the semester! I guess this is what happens when you take four English classes. I always have so much reading to do every single night. Right now I'm taking a break to do my blog cuz I kinda skimped over the weekend. I have about 150 pages to read tonight though. YIKERS! My free day went well. I ate alot... We made pancakes stacked high with maples syrup. Yummm. I was watching Throw Down with Bobby Flay the night before and they had a blueberry pancake throw down and they just look so good I had to make them for my free day. We also went up to the temple with some friends and hit up Olive Garden. I always get their Braised Beef Tortellini. So Delish! I also made some easy rice krispie treats with reeses pieces. Those are always a hit among family members. Sunday went well. I ate clean. Ohhhh yeah. I will confess that I did not get my cardio in on Saturday.... Whua whoa! That is the first miss in BFL challenge numero tres so far. No more Cic!! I have to make it a priorty!

MEAL FOUR - 7:00 pm
COMPLETE DELICIOUSNESS! Pita bread pizza with lean ground hamburger, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, salt, pepper, pizza sauce grilled on the grill! These were so easy and good. The grill made the pita really crispy and it had that yummy grill taste that I love. Cole loved it as well.

MEAL FIVE - 9:45 pm
Tropical Havannah Protein Shake (it's kinda fun coming up with my own names...maybe I should open up a smoothie shack or somethin') This contained: 1/2 banana, frozen peaches, stawberries, and pineapple, water, and vanilla protein powder. Very tasty!

School is being really rough on me right now. But I'm trying to have a good attitude about it. It will be over soon. No need to stress! I'm just taking it one day at a time. I'm just so excited to be done. 7 months to graduation!! Whoohoo! On top of school...I just got called to be in the Primary Presidency in my ward. Which I am really excited for! I love the sweet spirit of all those kids. I hope that I can be a good leader and example to them. I have to give sharing time on Sunday on General Conference. Any ideas? I'd love to hear about them. Cole and I were given free tickets to the BYU game against Colorado this Saturday so we are going to head down to Provo this coming weekend. I'm pretty excited even though BYU is not doing as well as I thought they would. Well I better get back to that reading.
CHOW MY FELLOW BLOGGERS!

Friday Football

When we were first married, I used to hate that every Friday during football season was spent up at the Holt Arena watching high school football. But now I look forward and get so excited to go to the dome on Friday nights. Tonight's game was fun because it was Century vs. Highland. I went to Century and Cole went to Highland so we kinda had a little rivalry thang goin' on. Highland won...dangit. Oh well, it makes for a fun night of football and people watching. ha. Tomorrow is my free day. yipee! The first thing I'm going to do is eat that piece of chocolate peanut butter fudge Cole's parents brought back from the Tillamook factory in Oregon. I can't believe that I've made it through 3 weeks of BFL already. That means I'm 1/4 done with Challenge Numero Tres!! I started the day off with my Upper body workout.

When is it that I actually have to grow up??

THURSDAY
Today was spent galianting around. Is that a word? I don't have class 'til 11 so I slept in, went to class (which was like the only responsible thing I did all day). Then Cole and I went to Costco to get new tires on my car. While we were waiting we thought....hey lets go out to eat at Chile's across the parking lot. As we were sitting there eating and having fun I said "ya know, most people are working right now. Us -- we're just hangin' out at Costco, going out to lunch....we are lucky! I wonder when it is that we are actually going to have to grow up, go to work, take care of kids?" We both work for our parents and it has been so great while we go to school. It really takes alot of stress off of our lives. I did have Stake YW's Basketball tonight. Only 3 girls showed up, but it was actually really fun. We played horse, lightning, and 2-on-2. I actually think that I would really like coaching b-ball. Then instead of doing homework or something responsible I watched the new show GLEE on hulu.com and I stayed up so late and that is why I didn't get a blog post yesterday. GLEE was great! It was freakin' hilarious! Well lets get down to business!

MEAL ONE - 9:30 am
Peach Cobbler Protein Shake - frozen peaches, 8 oz. of skim milk, 2 scoops vanilla protein powder, and cinnamon to taste.

MEAL TWO - we didn't eat until 1:45 pm at Chile's!
I got the Southwestern Explosion Salad. It was very good! It had a very yummy, tangy balsamic vinaigrette on it.

MEAL THREE - 3:00 pm
Organic Oiko's Yogurt Plain with white peaches a
nd Flaxseed granola. MMMMM!

HIIT - 7:15 pm
I went to basketball at 6:00 and then right after that I thought I'd hit the road for a little HIIT. At first I thought it was going to be a bad running session cuz my legs were sore from leg day yesterday, but after I got warmed up it felt great. My last sprinting session I ran at a 7:25 minute mile for 2 1/2 minutes. Whoo! Felt good! It wasn't that hot outside, but when I got back I was drenched! It feels so good to sweat. My face gets so red when I run though.
My stats were:
2.1 miles
253 calories
10:14 average pace
7:26 best pace Right after my run

MEAL FOUR - 8:00 pm
Garbonzo beans mixed with cottage cheese and ranch dressing mix. VERY GOOD! I found the idea for this here.
MEAL FIVE - 10:15 pm
Chocolate Strawberry Protein Shake in my Magic Bullet Blender named Manny. I def think this one and the Horchatta shake is my fav.

Well that is how my very unresponsible Thursday went. Oh and by the way. As I'm typing this, I am skipping my World Literature class. I didn't have time to get ready! Come on Cic...grow up! Get your act together! lol.

Ruby Wednesday's

Holler to Ruby Tuesday's salad bar....Yummo! Tonight is actually the only night in a while that I haven't had any homework. It feels great!! Well I do have homework, but its not due for a while. And I am super good at procrastinating. It was our good friend, Dean's b-day today, so his wife invited us out for a little surprise birthday dinner to Ruby Tuesday. I love Ruby's. Today went well. I tried some new meals that were a success(tasty) so that is good and I drank a butt-load of water so overall it has been a successful BFL day.

MEAL ONE - 9:00 am
Flax and Pumpkin seed granola with vanilla protein milk (I just mixed some vanilla protein with some milk). It was good. I just love that granola.
MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Tuna Fish on toast. Is it bad to eat too much fish? I heard somewhere it was...so if anyone reads this and they know...please fill me in.

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Organic Oiko's Greek Plain Yogurt with white peaches and cinnamon. One serving of Oiko's has 23 grams of protein! WOW! It was tasty. I didn't mean to get the white peaches, but it ended up being good.

LOWER BODY WORKOUT - 4:45 pm
Because we were going out to dinner, I got off work a little early so I could get my workout in.

We had a great time tonight. I feel so blessed to have such good friends. I dunno what we would do without our buddies Dean and Carrie. I'm doing good on BFL. I really am loving it and I am starting to see results. I definitely feel like my arms are getting stronger and my stomach is getting flatter. I got my Oxygen magazine yesterday. Those pictures really motivate me to push myself. I put the Abs Oxygen magazine right by my bed so that when I wake up every morning I see the ripped girl on the front. It helps get me motivated for the day. Well goodnight to all!!

Today

...was great! It was one of those day where you're really busy, but you enjoy it cuz you get alot of stuff done. Mr. Magic Bullet # 1 was taken back to the store today. BUT we just traded it for a new one. Now we have Mr. Magic Bullet #2. I made a PB Chocolate Protein Shake with it tonight and it worked like a charm. This is how my day went:

MEAL ONE - 9:00 am
Protein Oats with Blueberries. Very good with one scoop of vanilla protein powder. We really need to go grocery shopping. We have not been since I very first started BFL, which was 2 weeks ago. We've picked a few things up here and there and ate a ton out of the Seamons' garden.

MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Tuna Fish on Whole wheat bread. Cole made this for me to eat in between classes. It was delicious...just like a like it. I found a nice little step in the sun, sat and read, and ate my sandwich.

MEAL THREE - 2:45 pm
Light and Fit Watermelon yogurt (who knew there was WATERMELON yogurt?) it was pretty tasty. Almost too sweet. It reminded me of a jolly rancher. One string cheese was also eaten to help add a little more protein.

HIIT - 6:00pm
It felt so good to run today! I ran 2.5 miles in 20 minutes. My average pace was 9:3o minutes miles. 6:52 was my best pace. And I burned 279 calories. My legs were feeling great and I hit all my 9's and my 10 at the end. Whoo!

MEAL FOUR - 6:45 pm
Horchatta Protein drink. YIKERS! I waited four hours. I was was pretty hungry by then.

MEAL FIVE - 8:00 pm
Salmon and potatoes. The Salmon was caught by Ray, my father-in-law, up on the Oregon coast. It was delicious. Fish for lunch, fish for dinner. I am just lovin' the fish. If you are what you eat...I hope I don't turn into a fish!! Okay bad joke. Sometimes I remind myself of my Dad because he always tells the cheesiest jokes.

MEAL SIX - 10:00 pm
Chocolate PB Protein Shake... in my new Bullet. I think I'm giving it a name....and I think it's going to be Manny. Manny the magic bullet. I know...I'm a goof ball.

I'm reading The Odyssey for one of my English classes, I better get to it. Read read read...I feel like that's all I ever do these days. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow. I want to set some short-term goals for this week:

1. Drink 3 bottles of my water bottle.
2. Eat 2 servings of veggies a day.
3. Try some new recipes.

Good news is, after being on BFL for 2 1/2 weeks I have lost about 5 pounds which is exactly what I wanted to do....about 2 pounds a week. Yippee! Keep it going Cic!

GOODNIGHT TO ALL OUT THERE IN THE GREAT INTERNET ABYSS!

16 Hours of Studying

Seriously...I woke up at 8:00 am this morning and began studying. I had a ton of reading to do and I had a test to study for. I didn't even make it into work cuz I was studying. This dang school is getting on my nerves. But I guess soon enough I will be done FOREVER!! 8 months to be exact. I did very good with BFL today considering the fact that I was sooo busy. I started off the day with:

MEAL ONE - 9:00 am
Veggie Omelet - 2 eggs, 1/4 c. skim milk, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions. I paired it with some whole wheat toast and it became a tasty little breakfast.
MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Horchatta Protein Shake (this is what I'm going to call my vanilla cinnamon shake from now on because that is what it reminds me of).

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Cold leftover spaghetti (remember when I made this a few days ago?) It was ehhh so-so. I was stuck at the Student Union Building studying and that is all I had, but hey it kept me going and filled me up.

MEAL FOUR - 5:45 pm
Flax and Pumpkin Seed granola and a string cheese. My sister-in-law gave me the granola and it is very tasty (thanks Jill!) I can't wait to try it with some yogurt and fruit.

MEAL FIVE - 7:15 pm
Pier 49 Chicken Caesar Salad. Yeah...most of you probably know that you get pizza at Pier 49...sour dough pizza that is delicious. Cole and his parents got pizza, but I stayed strong and had a salad even though the pizza smelled and looked soooo good. Cole's parent just got back from the Oregon coast and they brought us back some Tillamook Chocolate Peanut Butter fudge. Cole was being a meanie-butt by eating it in front of me, smacking his lips, and blowing his breath in my face.

UBWO - 8:30 pm
I stayed home to do the workout tonight cuz I just have so much reading to do.
Pushups 12,10,8,6,12
DB Bench 12

Pullups 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
DB Flies 12

Should front and side raises 12, 10, 8, 6, 12

Tricep Kickbacks 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Bodyweight tricep pushups 12

MEAL SIX - 10:00 pm
Chocolate Protien Shake

Sad story: I think that I have given my special little bullet blender all that it can handle cuz it didn't sound so good tonight. Cole thinks we should take it back and get a new one. Maybe it just needs a rest. I feel like I've developed a relationship with my bullet the last couple weeks...I don't want to take it back. But I guess if we get a new one...Okay I have 100 pages to read by 1:00 pm tommorrow so I better run. BEDDY BYE!

Dear Magic Bullet,

Please get well soon. I like you alot. You make such delicious shakes. Please don't make me take you back.

Love,
Cicily

Free Day and Nap Day

Hello to all! I had a great weekend. Once Saturday rolled around and I got a little on top of my homework, I felt so much better. Last week, I felt like a crazed woman. Saturday was FREE DAY!! I pretty much cooked all day...which is what I wanted to do. I made my first official cheesecake. It was divine. I had a homeade sausage, egg, and cheese sandwhich for breakfast. MMM. Costco samples. I had pizza for lunch and also made homeade enchiladas and mexican rice for dinner. I didn't take any pictures which I wish I would of because the cheescake was very pretty especially when I added the cut up rasberries, blueberries, and peaches. I did get in a suuuuupppperrrr killer Lowerbody Workout and my leggies are aching now.

Then I took like a two hour nap which is why I can't wait for Sundays to roll around. Then we decided to be good dog-sitters (we're watching Cole's parent's dog) and take Cira for a drive in his truck and how does she thank us??? She takes a big old crap in his truck! Ungrateful dog... no a think she got really nervous because she doesn't ride in vehicles very often.

MEAL THREE - 3:30 pm
Blueberry Muffin Protein Shake

We went of to my parent's house today to say hello. Cole and I were chatting with my brother and his girlfriend when we realized my parents outside doing THIS....PHOTO OPP! It was hilarious. Even more so because my dad is 6'8" and he looked funny on this little kid swing set. ha ha. I'm still laughing about it.

MEAL FOUR - 7:30 pm
Grilled Salmon and Brown Rice. Oooooo la la. Salmon is delicioso!!! We can't get enough of that grillin'.

MEAL FIVE - 10:15 pm
Vanilla Cinnamon Protein Shake - I think this is my new favorite!! It reminds me of that rice drink you can get at mexican restaurants. I think its called horchatta???

I'm not going to get a sixth meal in tonight. Its too late! I have a biggo test tommorrow and a million (exageration) pages to read. It was a great weekend. I can't wait for the next one to come. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bight.

Ahhhh relax....and study a little

Ahhhhh I can relax and breathe a little now that its Friday. Although I do have a lot of stuff to get done, I feel alot more at ease now that its the weekend. Nothing too exciting for a Friday. Get up. Go for a run. Go to class. Help Cole at work. Go to my work. Get home. Go to friends for dinner. Watch Iron Man (I love it!). Now I'm here typing this.... Today went really well for BFL. I was actually pretty proud of myself. I tried eating some new things and I didn't succumb to temptation when everyone went and got an ice cream and I didn't get one.

HIIT - 8:30 am
This was my typical HIIT session. I felt really good. Sometimes I go too fast though when I should be running at a slower pace so that I will have the energy to bust it during my sprints.

Here are my stats:
20 minutes
2.2 miles
242 calories
6:48 <----- Best Pace!!!
9:52 Average pace

MEAL ONE - 9:30 am
Blueberry Mufifn Protein Shake. Thanks Cole for making it for me.

MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Leftover Spaghetti, carrots

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Organic Oikos Vanilla Yogurt with fresh rasberries, blueberrie, and peaches. YUMMO!! I loved this yogurt. Picked it up at Freddy's. It had 15 grams of protein. I'm always searching for the protein.
MEAL FOUR - 5:15
Turkey Scramble on toast
MEAL FIVE - 7:00
Burger with no bun and homeade red potatoe fries. We headed over to our good friends, Dean and Carrie's for dinner. They are known to make a mean meal. They never dissapoint. It was delicious.

MEAL SIX - ???
One glass of Crystal Light

Beddy Bye! We gotta set up soccer nets tommorrow at 7:00 am. TOMMORROW'S FREE DAY!!!

Stress Case!

I am so stressed today! I have so much on my mind and so many things to get done. I feel that posting what I eat and my workout is pertinent to my success with BFL so I'm just going to post the bare bones today.

UBWO - 8:15 am
I had to do it at home today cuz I woke up late and I had my student teaching interview at 10 am and I didn't want to be late to that. Here goes:

MEAL FOUR - 5:15 pm
Apple Cinnamon rice cake with vanilla and PB topping. I mixed a little FF whip cream with protein powder for the topping. It was pretty good. Cole liked it too. I'm not preverted so I won't tell you what I thought of when I first saw this picture...I'll let you use your imagination :)

Isn't it Friday yet?

Dear Friday, I was wondering if you could please come faster? This week is really giving me all I can handle for now so could you please hurry up and get here!?? I am the type of person that really stresses out when things aren't going as perfectly planned as I had...well planned them. I am a planner you see. Could you tell by my typed out menus and workout spread sheets? People have just been throwing things my way that aren't even that big of a deal, but for some reason, they just stress me out. Like, someone asking me to do a last minute musical on Sunday... no biggie, but for some reason I just am just stressed about it and a million other things. Surprisingly enough, I find that doing this blog and typing my feelings out is very theraputic for me. Well, enough of my little pity party.

HIIT - 8:45 am
My leggies are sore. I made a slow pace from 11,10,9,8 minute pace to 7 minute pace for my 9's. When I say 9's, I mean on a scale from 1-10 where 10 is giving it my all, 9 was as hard as I was pushing myself. I tried to go faster than 7 minute
pace for my last sprint, but my legs just wouldn
't allow it.

MEAL ONE - 10:00 am
Chocolate PB Protein Shake

MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Salad: Romaine lettuce, 1 boiled egg, frozen peas, avacado, salad nut topping, honey mustard, and cottage cheese. MMMM. I love the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's. I tried to re-create it just like the one that I get there.

MEAL THREE - 3:00 pm
Green apple, nuts, 1 string cheese

MEAL FOUR - 5:45 pm
Crockpot Cream of Mushroom Chicken over brown rice. I was actually quite proud of myself on this one. I didn't have a recipe, I just kinda threw some stuff in the crockpot and hoped that it would taste good and it was! It consisted of three frozen chicken breasts, 1 can of 98% fat free Cream of Mushroom, half can of Chicken Stock, can of mushrooms, salt, pepper, and basil. And there you have it. I baked it on high for about 4 hours and cooked some brown rice to go with it. YUM YUM.

MEAL FIVE - 10:15 pm
Peach Cobbler Protein Shake: ice, peach, cinnamon, 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder. I waited waaaaaay too long for this, I know. I also have been waking up too late to get my six meals in. I want to get some good sleep tonight. I have workout, class, work, YW's B-ball, and Blackfoot Fair tommorrow! Chow!

Terrific Tuesday

Hello fellow bloggers! Back to school, back to school, to prove that I am not a fool. Got my boots tied tight, got my lunch packed tight, I hope I don't get in a fight. Oh back to school, back to school. lol. Cole always says that to me and no matter what, it all ways makes me laugh. My English classes were awful today. One of my teachers loves to randomly select people to answer questions and its so scary to me because I'm always afraid she's going to call on me and I'm going to make a fool of myself. The other one is freakin' hilarious, but he goes off on tangent and I have no idea what he is talking about. Well enough of my ramblin' and such. Today was DAY 9 and it my Lowerbody workout. OUCH!

UBWO - 9:00 am
Barbell Squats 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Leg Press 12

DB Deadlifts 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Leg Kickback Machine 12

Calf Raises 12, 10, 8, 6, 12
Leg Extensions 2x15
Tip-toe Lunges 12

Abs 20x6

Nothing gets you more sore than DEADLIFTS! Ouch... my hammies hurt already.

MEAL ONE - 10:00 am
Chocolate Strawberry Protein Shake, so thick had to eat it with a spoon.

MEAL TWO - 12:15 pm
Half a tuna, one string cheese, and an apple. I ate this in between classes. I found a nice little bench outside in the sun. It felt so good.

MEAL THREE - 2:30 pm
Blackbeans, Cottage Cheese, and ranch dressing mix. I read about this idea from the blog here. Except she uses garbonzo beans instead of blackbeans. The blackbeans were good, but I think that garbonzos would be better. It filled me up and was the perfect balance of proteins and carbs.

MEAL FOUR - 5:30 pm
Two Apple Cinnamon Rice Cakes with PB on them. We need to go grocery shopping really bad. I'm running out of snacks!

MEAL FIVE - 8:30 pm
Hamburgers with lean hamburger, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, on grilled whole wheat bread(I thought I'd give grilling the bread a try and it was great...try it!). Corn on the cob. Zuccini and onions. Every single item was grilled. I love grilling, it is so much healthier and it gives the food such a great flavor.

WE went to Costco. And when we go to Costco we usually always end of buying something. We decided to buy some Vanilla protein powder so that we can make things like oatmeal, pancakes, and protein smoothies. We also ended up buying some new tires for my car. Whoosh! THere goes our savings account.
MEAL SIX - 10:15 pm
Blueberry Vanilla Protein Shake. Very good. Tasted like a blueberry muffin to me.

Goodnight to all of you out there!
